#ClimateChange can only get better if we all do our part to #sustain the #future of our #planet.

This year Earth hour took place on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. local time. As a way to show unity and commitment in fighting climate change, TCA encouraged all members of the association to join the millions of people around the world to send a strong global message by switching off as many lights as possible for one designated hour.

In honour of earth day and earth month, the Toronto Construction Association will dedicate the entire month of April to raising awareness on our collective need to protect planet earth and its natural resources. TCA understands the importance of sustainability and believes it should be an everyday practice for our construction industry to to do the right thing and make an effort to better serve and improve our environment for current and future generations.

The TCA Environmental Committee aims to connect the construction industry with environmental education, awareness, best practices, guidelines, and policies while encouraging and promoting a culture of environmental sustainability.

Organizations as a whole in the construction industry have a responsibility to promote the well-being of our planet and make sustainability a top priority.

In 2016, the TCA Environmental Committee launched the Green Ambassador Program, which recognizes and profiles member companies that are committed to making a sustainable environmental difference as part of their day to day operations.

What is YOUR company doing this earth week and earth month that's contributing to better our environmental planet?

Happy Earth day and Earth month! Do your part and make a difference!
